Pay Range: $28.79 - $43.18 / hour

Additional components of compensation may include:

    • Evening night and weekend shift differential
    • Overtime
    • On-call pay

POSITION SUMMARY:

Performs computed tomography and related techniques and produces sectional anatomic images as directed and for interpretation by a licensed practitioner utilizing x-ray energy and computer processing techniques. Provides appropriate patient care and exercises professional judgement ensuring successful completion of procedure. Participates in continuous quality improvement activities and educational experiences in support of departmental philosophy and objectives as well as Health System initiatives.

EDUCATION/TRAINING:

Completion of accredited Radiologic Technologist program. Experience as a hospital radiographer or CT technologist preferred.

Must provide copy of diploma/degree for highest level of education obtained.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:

Current license from the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) accreditation and registration from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT.) Advanced certification in computed tomography is preferred. Current CPR certification.

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Successful completion of annual clinical age and job specific competencies and skill verification tools required. Knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Ability to establish effective working relationships and clearly and calmly communicate in English both verbally and in writing with patients medical staff and the public.
