Job Summary
UW Health in northern Illinois seeks a Cardiology Hospitalists to provide care at our SwedishAmerican Hospital a 350-bed tertiary care and Level 2 trauma center with a state-of-the-art dedicated Heart Hospital. As part of a physician-led group with over 310 providers and 40 specialties you will serve patients in northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin.
Your clinical support includes the following:
- Exciting New Program: Expansion with two new Cardiology Hospitalist positions
- Schedule of 7 on/7 off
- Thriving Team: Join a collaborative team of 10 cardiologists (4 non-interventional 4 interventional and 2 electrophysiologists) supported by Advanced Practice Providers
- Cutting-Edge Facilities: Work in a state-of-the-art Heart Hospital with onsite diagnostics a cath lab and surgical suites
- Comprehensive Services:
- o Advanced procedures: Watchman CardioMEMS ASD/PFO Closure TAVR.
- o Access to Cardiac MRI and CT.
- o Involvement in cardiac diagnostic interpretations.
- Established Patient Base: Serve a robust cardiology service line covering a 12-county referral region with a population of 750000.

Education
- MD or DO - Required
License/Certifications
- Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire - Required
- Active Illinois medical license - Required
- Board Certification or Board Eligible in Endocrinology. Board certification must be obtained within 5 years - Required
- Bi-annual CPR certification - Preferred
