As a Senior Manufacturing Planning Specialist youll utilize your skills and talents to represent the production and material planning function on concurrent engineering teams. Essentially youll compile and monitor monthly production schedules create complex material structures in the material planning tool and identify process flow improvements and implement. Youll also prepare labor and material forecasts as requested and interface periodically with supply chain or suppliers on delivery issues and problem resolution.

A Bachelors degree or equivalent plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Masters degree
An exceptional understanding of bill of material concepts and methodologies
Solid understanding of the proposal process for both material and labor estimating
Extremely proficient with material planning tools

Responsiblities include but are not limited to the following:
Strong understanding of IFS
Strong understanding of GDMS business policies and procedures
Monitors inventory levels and manages stock to avoid shortages or excess in the factory. Creates requisitions & Shop Orders
Monitors purchase orders and tracks their progress based on demand loaded
Analyzes material usage and works with MP Specialist to optimize inventory levels
Resolves material-related issues and discrepancies on the factory floor
Prepares and updates material planning reports and metrics to support the Factory Manager and MP Specialist
Determine Monthly/Weekly/Daily production plan
Acquire common materials boxes chemicals any as required material
Ensure plan is executable with available capacity and material
Ensure part shortages are addressed to meet plan
Set priorities to meet plan or schedule requests
Communicate commitments and possible opportunities (when things can fit into schedule)
Target salary range: USD $69025.00/Yr. - USD $74687.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelors degree or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Masters degree.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required within a reasonable amount of time after hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities U.S. citizenship is required.
