The Department
Student Life is a diverse area within NWP and covers departments such as Residence Mental Health Indigenous Services Sport and Fitness and Recruitment. Each department showcases a student first mentality and is passionate about sharing their knowledge skills and abilities with those around them. The Fairview Campus is a focal point of the community and houses our Trades Harley and Animal Health programs. This smaller campus has a vibrant family like atmosphere that offers its students and staff a dynamic working space.
The Role
The Mental Health Counsellor will provide short-term mental health/crisis counselling at the NWP Grande Prairie campus as well as make referrals to the Psychologist and community resources as necessary. This position also provides mental health educational programming to staff and students as directed by the NWP Mental Health Services department. This is a part-time position and a willingness to work a flexible schedule may be an asset.

A Masters degree in Counselling Psychology and a minimum of two years related work experience is required. Professional designation and licensure with appropriate professional body is required (Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association Association of Counselling Therapy of Alberta).
