Job Description

Overview:

  • 2x Full-time Fixed Term position until 24th of December 2025 (part-time applications are welcomed)
  • Salary HEW Level 9 ($135978 - $145693) 17% Superannuation and Flexible Working Arrangements
  • Based at the Melbourne CBD campus and hybrid ways of working

This role will be focused on an exciting new People Strategy project on Organisational Culture at RMIT. TheOrganisational Culture project will undertake a cultural reset across RMIT to re-establish and promote behavioural expectations and values foster inclusivity care collaboration wellbeing and impact. This work will both set clearminimum acceptable standards of behaviour andconduct and facilitate the conditions that will drive RMIT towards our aspired culture. We will optimise engagement and productivity and create an environment where all employees feel safe valued and empowered and embrace their responsibility to drive saferespectful and inclusive primary benefit of this project is to create measurable improvement in RMITs workplace culture of respectand inclusion directly contributing to our strategic goals of employee engagement andmentalwellbeing.

About You
The Manager Organisational Development (OD) plays a key leadership role within RMITs Capability & Employee Experience team driving strategic initiatives that enhance organisational culture and improve the employee experience across the University.

You will lead the design and delivery of data-informed evidence-based programs that support cultural transformation capability uplift and employee engagement. Collaborating closely with stakeholders across the University this role is pivotal in translating strategic priorities into impactful OD solutions that foster a high-performance and inclusive workplace culture.

In this role you will provide end-to-end consultancy from discovery and analysis through to implementation and evaluation drawing on best practices in OD change management and human-centred design. You will also partner with internal specialists to lead University-wide projects support employee voice initiatives and drive continuous improvement through innovation and insights.

Were looking for someone who brings a strong background in organisational development with the ability to influence at all levels manage complex initiatives and use data to inform and evaluate outcomes. Experience with platforms like CultureAmp and a passion for building meaningful employee experiences will set you up for success in this role.

To be successful in this position youll have as a minimum:

  • Proven ability to design and successfully implement customer focused strategic cultural/employee experience or employee engagement initiatives at an organisational level. Excellent analytical skills and proven ability to use data to inform actions projects and programs.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain collaborative partnerships with colleagues clients and stakeholders to support the Universitys objectives. Work with full competence to identify potential stakeholders analyse their expectations and develop strategies for managing stakeholders and theirexpectations.
  • Proven ability to manage organisational wide projects with sound project and change management research analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to apply employee experience creative thinking and continuous improvement principles to projects that deliver quality consultancy and solutions that support staff in realising their potential. Experience in human centred design is desirable.
