About the Role
We are currently seeking a dedicated professional for apermanent part-timeposition as aGambling Help Service (GHS) Counsellor/Community Educatorat our Maroochydore venue. This role is offered on the basis of60 hours per fortnight.
As a GHS Counsellor/Community Educator you will deliver high-quality therapeutic counselling to individuals couples and families affected by problem gambling. Your work will help reduce the impact of gambling harm and support personal wellbeing for clients and their loved ones.
You will also play a key role in raising public awareness about the social issues linked to problem gambling. This includes providing information education and workshops to target groups and the broader community as well as building partnerships with stakeholders to ensure effective referral pathways

Note that a requirement of the role is to work an evening shift (until 8pm) in order to meet business requirements.
About You
Are you a compassionate and skilled professional with experience in counselling and community education Were looking for someone who is passionate about supporting individuals couples and families affected by problem gambling. You bring strong communication skills empathy and a commitment to reducing the impact of gambling harm through both direct client work and community engagement. With a background in social services counselling or a related field you are confident in delivering high-quality support and building positive relationships with clients stakeholders and the broader community. Your proactive approach and ability to work both independently and as part of a team make you an ideal fit for this meaningful role.
