Purpose
This position is responsible for maintaining a clean sanitary and safe facility/warehouse environment adhering to established procedures and Preferred Work Methods (PWM).
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize spills of product debris or other foreign matter promptly and effectively.
- Clean and sanitize warehouse surfaces including floors walls racking doors and other structural elements.
- Operate cleaning equipment including power scrubbers sweepers walk-behind scrubbers and other warehouse cleaning machinery in a safe and efficient manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of facility buildings grounds lighting fixtures parking lots and other exterior areas.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms offices break rooms locker rooms and other common areas.
- Follow the daily sanitation schedule as assigned by the supervisor to ensure a consistent and effective sanitation maintenance program.
- Maintain the warehouse in a clean organized and safe working environment adhering to all safety protocols.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.
- Properly dispose of waste and recyclables according to established procedures.
Skills
- Equipment Operation: Ability to safely and effectively operate cleaning equipment such as power scrubbers sweepers and other industrial cleaning machinery.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting bending stooping and standing for extended periods.
- Safety Consciousness: Awareness of safety hazards and the ability to follow safety protocols and procedures.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to thoroughly clean and sanitize areas ensuring no areas are missed.
- Time Management: Ability to manage time effectively and complete assigned tasks within established schedules.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members.
- Ability to Follow Instructions: Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
