The Instructional Coach will provide personalized coaching professional development and resources to help teachers improve instructional practices classroom culture and management strategies and content knowledge and assist building leadership in the development and implementation of systems of tiered support to ensure academic proficiency for all students and close achieve gaps for subgroups within the schools especially multilingual Duties & Responsibilities: Assist individual teachers and teacher teams with effective lesson planning incorporating the principles of UDL and SEI to plan from high quality curriculum materials. Assist teachers with classroom management strategies and establishing positive learning environments. Model effective teaching strategies and co-teach when appropriate. Observe classroom instruction and provide specific actionable feedback to improve teaching practices. Design and deliver targeted professional development workshops teachers in collaboration with other school staff. Support teachers in effective implementation of common district and curriculum-based assessments and the analysis of results to inform instruction. Collaborate with school leaders to identify areas of need for teacher support and professional learning. Assist school leadership and teacher teams with the development and implementation of tier 2 and 3 interventions services in literacy and/or math. Create and maintain a resource library of instructional materials and research-based strategies. Document coaching interactions and teacher progress to assess program effectiveness. Participate in district wide coaches meeting and other professional learning to further develop personal coaching skills and content expertise. Perform additional responsibilities as requested by the principal/head of Skills & Abilities: Demonstrated expertise in effective instructional practices and curriculum implementation. Content expertise in literacy or mathematics instruction. Experience in adult learning coaching or leading professional development. Knowledge of Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks and educator evaluation system. Strong interpersonal organizational and communication skills. Ability to build trusting relationships with colleagues. Experience with data-driven instruction and assessment practices. Familiarity with culturally responsive teaching practices.
