We are currently seeking a highly organized and detail oriented Senior Planner/ Scheduler to join the project delivery team and the multi-disciplinary owner representative project team. In this role you will be responsible for supporting the client PMO organization to build a new semi-conductor mega factory.
In this role you will report to the Program Lead. The position involves significant independent responsibility to oversee and provide planning and scheduling activities and deliverables. The successful candidate must be an expert using Primavera P6 and proven experience on construction means and methods and will require to have experience in planning and scheduling on data center capital programs.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain integrated master schedules using input from cross-functional teams including engineering procurement construction and estimating ensuring alignment with project objectives and milestones.
- Lead interactive planning sessions to establish schedule logic identify constraints and integrate stakeholder inputs into actionable plans.
- Collaborate on risk management efforts contributing schedule-related insights during qualitative and quantitative reviews to inform mitigation strategies.
- Perform schedule analysis and progress assessments including site spot checks critical path evaluations and earned value tracking to ensure accurate reporting and early identification of delays.
- Generate resource-loaded and cost-loaded baseline schedules maintaining these through project lifecycles in coordination with construction and planning teams.
- Support contract development and change management by defining planning requirements reviewing schedule impacts of changes and recommending recovery actions as needed.
- Deliver consistent schedule reporting including 4-week look-aheads logic revision logs and FTE histograms to support decision-making and keep all stakeholders aligned.
Qualifications
- Degree in Construction Management Engineering Quantity Surveying or other related field. A combination of other degrees coupled with suitable experience will also be considered.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of demonstrated planning and scheduling experience in utilities and infrastructure sectors and large complex multi-phase capital projects.
- Experience with Industrial scheduling programs Primavera (P6) and Pertmaster.
- Knowledge of multiple project delivery methods and a strong understanding of all construction disciplines.
- Excellent communication (written verbal and presentation) skills along with the ability to assure service delivery and provide meaningful/actionable insights.
- Ability to coordinate and organize multiple sources of schedule inputs/performance data into a master schedule platform and deliver project/program status reports as required.
- Proven track record of scheduling large capital projects ($500 million or greater).
- Experience in the development preparation review and baselining of project schedules (Level 1 through Level 5 schedules using WBS and activity codes) with experience in critical path analysis.
- Strong experience in facilitating interactive planning or pull planning sessions with all stakeholders to develop and maintain consensus and alignment of the team for a reliable integrated master project schedule.
- Data center semi-conductor or other highly technical project experience required.
