*This is inclusive of a 1.00% recruitment and retention stipend

Location: We have an anticipated vacancy in our Augusta Central Office.

Core Responsibilities:

The OCFS Policy and Training Program Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing the development implementation and evaluation of OCFS policy and training. You will be responsible for prioritizing the policy and training needs of the organization and overseeing the development and delivery of all OCFS-specific training both internally and externally.

As Program Manager you will be expected to plan direct and coordinate the work of other OCFS staff consultants and contracted personnel in developing training for OCFS. You will directly supervise a team of seven Policy and Training Specialists who determine and review complex policy interpretations and make recommendations for policy revisions based on interactions with staff providers community partners and consumers. You will work collaboratively with the Staff Education and Training Unit (SETU) Cutler Staff DMT the District Training Supervisors and the CQI team to identify OCFS training needs and in developing implementing and evaluating training programs curricula policies and practice guides to address those needs.

Minimum Qualifications:

In order to qualify you must have eight (8) years of education and/or professional experience in social services. At least two years of the required experience must be in a supervisory and/or administrative capacity. The background of well-qualified candidates will demonstrate expertise in the following areas:

1. In-depth knowledge of OCFS policies programs and processes.

2. Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver training programs to diverse audiences.

3. A demonstrated understanding of the concepts and theories of training development and design and a strong knowledge of current training practices.

4. Ability to analyze and interpret policies assess the implications on agency programs and operations and advise senior managers based on these assessments.

5. Exceptional leadership skills and a demonstrated ability to direct and oversee the work of staff.
