Job Description
Job Title: Product Designer
Hybrid (3 days remote) Toronto Canada
Experience Required: Minimum 5 Years
Role Summary
NearSource is looking for a Product Designer to support the development of digital manufacturing experiences for a global leader in the software industry. In this role youll shape workflows user interactions and design systems for platforms transforming smart factories and AI-powered production environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product managers engineers and researchers to define user journeys across desktop browser and mobile platforms
- Develop interaction design prototypes to guide vision alignment and feature validation
- Conduct user testing analyze results and iterate designs based on actionable feedback
- Create scalable UI patterns and contribute to the evolution of the design system across products
- Participate in design sprints focused on integrating product design manufacturing workflows and AI-driven insights
- Align cross-functional teams on design direction while navigating technical constraints and enterprise-scale use cases
Must-Have Skills
- Proficient in UX design for software platforms with a strong focus on user-centered design principles
- Experienced in building prototypes and workflows using Figma
- Hands-on with Adobe Creative Suite Jira and Miro or Mural
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability
- Effective communicator with excellent presentation skills in English
- Skilled at collaborating with distributed cross-functional teams across time zones
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience designing solutions for manufacturing production processes or data visualization
- Understanding of real-time production systems or scheduling/task management platforms
- Passionate about AI emerging technologies and the digital transformation of manufacturing
- Ability to connect design workflows across multiple tools and platforms
Certifications
- Bachelors or Masters degree in UX Design Human-Computer Interaction Design or a related field
