We invite applications from suitably qualified Learning Assistants to join our Enhanced Learning team in our Junior School on a part time basis (4 days per week) 0.8 FTE. This is a Term Time Only position (do not work in the school holidays).

About you:

The ideal candidate will engage with students who require support across a range of learning needs and to support and collaborate with teachers to ensure teaching strategies are successfully implemented. Supporting students learning needs in an inclusive classroom environment fostering growth and development to enable our young people to become a confident learner and experience progress and success.

You will be able to demonstrate the following:

• promote a warm positive and nurturing environment while supporting students with their learning.
• ability to work flexibly within a large team and the Classroom Teachers in a professional manner.
• build and maintain positive working relationships with students bringing out the best in them.

Qualifications and Expertise:

• A Certificate III in School-based Education Support (Integration Aide) or other appropriate education qualification is desirable.
• Demonstrable understanding of the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 and the Disability Standards for Education 2005.
• Experience with or interest in supporting students with diverse needs
• Competent in the use of learning technologies.
• A current Employee Working with Children Check
