United Staff Group is hiring a Special Education Paraprofessional . The paraprofessional shall be working with students who requires a behavioural aide who can also provide academic :- Provide support and assistance to special education students in a classroom setting- Assist students with daily activities including personal care and hygiene- Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) under the guidance of the special education teacher- Collaborate with the teacher to develop and implement lesson plans and curriculum- Support students in developing academic skills such as math and literacy education- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the teacher- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students- Assist with behavior management strategies and interventionsRequirements:- Associate or Bachelors Degree preferred- Previous experience working with children preferably in an educational setting- Knowledge of special education practices and strategies- Strong communication and interpersonal skills- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team- Patience empathy and a genuine desire to help students succeedNote: Experience in toddler care preschool math curriculum development and lesson planning are highly desirable but not required.
