Middle School Building-Based Substitute Teacher
(Full time with benefits including Paid Time Off)
The Environmental Charter School has an immediate need for a full time Building Substitute Teacher for our school.Successful candidates must be progressive minded and embody a can-do spirit and work ethic. For best consideration candidates should possess relevant teaching experience a demonstrated track record of success in developing and implementing strategies to meet the needs of students with a variety of learning needs and a whatever it takes attitude to ensure that all students succeed at a high level.

OVERVIEW
The Building Substitute Teacher will be assigned our Middle School (6-8) but may be assigned elsewhere when necessary.ECS substitute teachers must have strong teaching abilities an understanding of pedagogy and instructional practices in their respective field of education and a strong interest in environmental studies. ECS teachers work in a highly collaborate environment making deep connections with students. Candidates should be energetic and progressive minded with a willingness to work collaboratively with grade level and specialist teams.
Educational Background and Work Experience
- Bachelors degree from an accredited institution
- PA teacher certification. Out-of-state certification must be approved by the PA Dept. of Education
- Familiarity with charter schools and middle grade levels
Compensation and Benefits
Salary of $36758 plus participation in acomprehensive benefits package including medical dental vision life insurance short- and long-term disability insurance paid time off and participation in a generous 403b retirement plan.
