Job Description

Salary/Position Classification

  • $15 hourly Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)
  • 15 hours per week
  • 100% Remote Work Availability: No
  • Hybrid Work Availability (requires some time on campus): No

Purpose of Position

This is a part-time non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position. This is an hourly (up to 15 hrs. weekly at $15/hr.) temporary non-benefited grant-related position. To provide project support for the PI and research team.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Project Support: Assist in various project-related activities such as scheduling data collection/coordination documentation and report writing.
  • Communication: Collaborate with team members and project participants through effective communication channels providing regular updates and addressing any queries or concerns.
  • Presentation and Reporting: Prepare presentations reports and summaries for project meetings conferences or other dissemination activities.
  • Project Coordination: Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth coordination of project activities deadlines and milestones.
  • Ad hoc Tasks: Assist with any additional tasks assigned by the PI Co-PI or other team members as required.

  • Use excellent verbal and written communication skills; have excellent command of English language grammar spelling and punctuation.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree (currently obtaining is ok).
  • Successful criminal history background check.
  • Must be able to work with persons of various social cultural economic and educational backgrounds.
  • Ability to represent the grant team and project in a professional manner.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in verbal or written format.
  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check

  • Preference given to candidates with previous experience working with a Native American organization Coalition and/or a not-for-profit organization.
  • Strong Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to learn take on new challenges and adapt to changing project requirements.
  • Professionalism: Display a professional attitude maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in handling project-related information.
  • Strong Initiative: Ability to work independently and proactively contribute to project objectives.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Capacity to identify issues propose solutions and seek assistance when needed.
