What you will get to do:
- As an Aquatica Supervisor provides coverage as the department duty supervisor overseeing operation of all park attractions by providing active leadership to ensure safety service and quality for both guests and ambassadors. Enthusiastically represents SeaWorld by displaying a positive attitude high level of energy and commitment to quality throughout all aspects of the job.
- Ensures excellent guest service by responding to guest requirements expectations and needs.
- Administrative tasks including: labor management compliance and business reporting.
- Coaches and counsels ambassadors to promote development.
- Monitors key performance indicators and implements changes for improvement.
- Assists park leadership in development and execution of goals and initiatives.
- Addresses guest and ambassadors issues in an effort to achieve positive results.
- Occasionally may assist other locations throughout the park.
- Other duties as assigned.
What is takes to succeed
- Able to be at least 18 years of age.
- Able to obtain high school diploma (or equivalent).
- Able to have at least 2 seasons of Assistant Supervisor experience.
- Able to have 2 years water safety experience.
- Able to have strong written/verbal communication skills.
- Able to read write and speak English.
- Able to stand walk and/or sit for prolonged periods of time.
- Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification or Shallow Water Certification (or equivalent) preferred.
- Able receive Lifeguard Certification or Shallow Water Certification within 30 days after start date.
- American Red Cross and/or Water Safety Instructor Certification preferred.
What else is important
- Hours varies depending on the season and the business need.
- 4 days of unrestricted availability to include weekends during the peak season.
- Able to work early mornings late evenings and holidays.
Compensation:
$19.50 per hour
