Project Manager (With Solar or Contractor Mgmt Experience)

PV Project Manager (Position Located in Hayward WI)

The Project Manager is responsible for establishing the schedule and overall coordination of residential and commercial solar construction projects and ensures that milestones and deliverables are met through the life of the project. The PV Project Manager will handle multiple projects simultaneously at various stages of development and construction - projects could be located locally and/or regionally.

Essential Duties

Coordination of installation schedules.

Management of any related staffing to ensure on time completion.

Coordination of permitting and other paperwork requirements for projects.

Prepare bid packages and procure materials and services as needed for actual projects or RFPs as needed.

Visit sites pre-construction in order to verify layouts and measurements as needed.

Perform regular check-ins with the sales team to update project progress.

Serve as sole point-of-contact for customers/clients during each project post-sale until project completion.

Provide progress reports and other status updates to client and management as required.

Maintaining records and databases.

Troubleshooting issues relating to installations.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

2 years solar project management experience including projects of at least 100 kW

5 years previous experience in project management and/or construction operations

Experience and understanding of Distributed Generation Solar projects

Solid understanding of Project Management process

Ability to problem solve both personnel issues and project issues

Good record keeping and organizational skills

Ability to travel regionally depending on project location

Valid Drivers License

Preferred Knowledge and Skills

Experience in HVAC / Electrical / Accounting or Contracting Trades

Outstanding time management skills & resourcefulness

Previous customer service or front office/sales/marketing experience

Background in Electrical Contracting and/or Renewable Energy or similar fields

Dynamic Entrepreneurial Mindset - Get Things Done without Supervision!

NABCEP PV Installation professional certification preferred
