Role: SEND Teacher
Daily Rate: 150.00
Location: York
We are working with a specialist setting in the York area that provides tailored education for pupils with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). The school offers a nurturing inclusive learning environment where each child is supported to develop both academically and emotionally.
We are seeking to appoint an experienced and compassionate SEND Teacher available on a full-time or part-time basis. This role is ideal for a teacher with a strong understanding of individualised teaching strategies and a genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs.
The successful candidate will have experience working in SEND or alternative provisions strong classroom management skills and a flexible child-centred approach.
Key responsibilities include:
Planning and delivering differentiated lessons to meet diverse learning needs
Creating a positive inclusive and structured classroom environment
Working closely with support staff families and external agencies
Assessing pupil progress and adjusting teaching approaches accordingly
Promoting independence confidence and self-esteem in learners
