About the role
We have an exciting new opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team. Based at our Head Office this is a standalone position that plays a vital role in managing the end-to-end accounts payable function. The role reports directly to the Financial Controller based at our Oakey Branch.
Your key responsibilities:
- Process supplier invoices credit notes and staff reimbursements in an accurate and timely manner
- Perform reconciliations of supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies
- Monitor the accounts payable inbox and respond to vendor queries professionally
- Assist with end-of-month reporting and accruals
- Maintain accurate records and filing systems for auditing purposes
- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant accounting standards
Skills And Experiences
Our Ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum of 2 years experience in an accounts payable role within a manufacturing or agricultural environment.
- Strong people skills with the ability to build relationships with customers and internal stakeholders to improve engagement and productivity.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a resourceful approach to resolving financial discrepancies.
- High attention to detail with strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g. MYOB SAP or similar).
