About the role
Increasing customer access to solar generation storage and electric vehicles is expected to increase demand on network access making management of performance and customer outcomes increasingly challenging.
The Senior Data Scientist is responsible for championing the discipline of data science applied to analysis of the electricity network through delivery of computational and mathematical methods to extract insights and knowledge from data which enables advanced business insights for better decision making.
The role will involve the end to end development and application of various tools data modelling data mining statistical techniques algorithms and machine learning principles to identify trends patterns and insights from raw data.
This role will be based within the Essential Energy footprint with the ability to work from home in a hybrid work environment.
About You
You have proven background in applying data science techniques into solving industry problems including the development and application of analytical models.
You are confident in applying conceptual thinking in leading the development of approaches and tools for the analysis and optimisation of solutions to complex problems.
