Job Description
Job Summary
Winter Chevrolet is seeking a Service Dispatcher to distribute work to 15 technicians. The Dispatcher position is responsible for planning organizing controlling work flow through the shop and maintaining a high shop efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and assign work to service technicians based on availability skill level and job priority to ensure efficient workflow and timely vehicle service.
- Maintain accurate inventory of special tools and handle ordering of replacements or new tools as needed ensuring all tools meet factory standards.
- Ensures proper repair order documentation complaint cause and correction noted on every repair order with punch time for each operation.
- Collaborate with the parts department on Quality Control (QC) cores to ensure proper handling returns and documentation.
- Track and coordinate technician training progress and certifications through Global
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Valid drivers license and safe driving record
- At least two years experience in the automotive industry.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Advanced computer software skills
- Experience using general office equipment (i.e. copier fax machine etc.)
- Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time
