We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to supportAir Force Tactical Exploitation of National Capabilities (AF TENCAP) prototyping efforts. Efforts center on full spectrum of Research Development Test and Evaluation (RDT&E) software development services in support of rapid prototype development and integration activities to meet emergent RDT&E requirements of AF TENCAP its Space Force partners and their stakeholders.
As a Senior Software Engineer you will work closely with the Chief and Lead Systems Engineers to deliver rapid innovative and cost-effective capabilities across all warfighting domains. Your expertise will be critical in delivering successful prototypes. You will lead software development teams while also designing developing documenting testing and debugging application software. Additionally youll conduct analyses and collaborate with subject matter experts in the planning design development and utilization of electronic data processing systems for information storage processing presentation manipulation display or reporting. End products may be special use customized or commercial software that provide but not limited to autonomous services desktop applications web applications scripts and/or utility programs. To accomplish these functions successfully software engineers must determine computer user needs; analyze system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent determine output requirements input data acquisition utilize programming techniques and controls and prepare operating instructions. The salary range for this role is $155000 to $205000 annually. Final compensation for this position will be determined by various factors including but not limited to relevant work experience specific skills and competencies education and certifications.
Required
- ABET accredited BS degree
- 14 years technical related experience
- Demonstrated expertise leading software development teams
- Experience designing developing and supporting mission applications
- Proficiency developing software in programming languages such as C C Java Python
- Experience with collaborative development tools
- Experience with prototyping efforts.
- Must have an in-scope DoD Secret security clearance
Desired
- ABET accredited MS or PhD
- Experience working with web service data formats and developing web services.
- Experience in agile software development methodologies Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
