Grades 6-8 English Language Arts and Reading Teacher - St. Mary School Elyria

St. Mary School is seeking an enthusiastic collaborative middle school teacher committed to embracing the joys and challenges of middle school students. The teacher will be responsible for teaching ELA and reading to students in grades 6-8 as well as have a blended homeroom of 6th 7th and 8th graders. Experience as an intervention specialist would be helpful.

Requirements:
Planning preparing and implementing lessons according to the objectives and goals set by the Diocese of Cleveland.

Possess or be willing to pursue a religious education certificate through the Diocese of Cleveland.

Knowledge of current teaching methods as well as the ability to differentiate instruction is required.

Use technology effectively to engage students differentiate instruction assess students enhance instruction and implement STREAM opportunities.

Ability to walk up and down stairs in the main school building.

Qualifications:
State of Ohio Teaching License in Content Area (or receive your certification by the start of the 2025-2026 school year)

Master Degree in Education or related content area not required but is welcomed. Successful prior teaching experience for the appropriate grade levels is a plus.

Virtus Trained (or willing to be trained)

BCI/FBI check
