About the role:

The Senior Project Officer will carry out a broad range of project functions and responsibilities including overseeing day-to-day project logistics supporting with budgets and timelines preparation for project meetings assisting with planning and tracking of both specific initiatives and overall project activities.

As a Senior Project Officer you will:

  • Strive for excellence and consult regularly with researchers and stakeholders to clarify who requires the information the purpose for which it is required criteria for success and where and when advice and recommendation is required.
  • Support with the enactment of (and extend the development of existing plans where necessary) a fullscale project plan project budget communications/stakeholder engagement plan risk management plan research translation plan and governance support plan with associated project tasks.
  • Develop and provide the necessary documentation and reporting to support the management and coordination of the project including development of agendas (structured to maximise value of available time and support efficient decision making and actions) and recording of minutes; coordination of planning days teleconferences and meetings; coordinating project-related travel and events; and coordinating participant honorariums.
  • Plan and prioritise work and critical activities appropriately and recognise barriers to achieving outcomes find effective ways to deal with them and evaluate progress.

To be successful youll have:

  • A Degree with subsequent relevant experience; or
  • Extensive experience and specialist knowledge or broad knowledge in technical or administrative fields; or
  • An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Experience in project coordination and/or administration in large multi-actor research projects.
