Job Description

The University of Iowa Health Care Department of Nursing is seeking to fill Phlebotomy Technician I positions to perform phlebotomy/specimen collection and a variety of laboratory tasks related to phlebotomy labeling specimens telephone inquiries and distribution of phlebotomy supplies.

Duties to include:

  • Performs phlebotomy draws
  • Performs computer data entry and other clerical tasks as required
  • Orders receives and distributes supplies
  • Responds to basic phlebotomy inquiries and otherwise represents assigned and related work areas

Percent of Time: 100% - 40 hours per week
Schedule: Evenings 3 pm - 11:30 pm will include an every other weekend and every other holiday rotation
