Job Description:
General Summary
Under the supervision of a pharmacist performs tasks involving the dispensing distribution and third-party insurance billing of drugs. Is involved in proper storage packaging labeling and record keeping associated with drugs. Pharmacy interns will also be mentored and learn to become an outpatient clinical pharmacist.
All employees must adhere to the following at all times:

2. Adheres to hospital and pharmacy policies and procedures.
3. Knowledgeable about patient safety performance improvement and quality of care issues. Able to recognize safety issues in the department and handles incidents per institutional and/or departmental policies and procedures. If safety issues are identified all issues are handled timely and appropriately.
4. Employee attends and follows all department specific safety education and training in an effort to create a safe work environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
Qualifications/Knowledge Skills & Abilities (Indicate minimum required to qualify or perform this job.)
Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college of pharmacy.
Must hold a current and unrestricted Ohio Pharmacy Intern License within 90 days of hire and maintain thereafter.
Good communication skills especially in the areas of meeting the public and other department are required.
Utilizes effective communication to provide excellent customer services.
Actively participates in performance improvement activities as it relates to job duties.
Demonstrates effective and culturally appropriate communications.
Physical Requirements:
1. Visual acuity of 20/20 or corrected to 20/20 including color vision when applicable.
2. Ability to hear (with or without aides).
3. Ability to orally communicate.
4. Good manual dexterity.
5. Ability to push pull roll and transfer/lift 50 pounds occasionally.
6. Ability to stand walk constantly.
7. Ability to bend reach stoop and kneel occasionally.
