Position Type: Full Time

Location: Colorado Springs Colorado. This is not a remote position.

Salary Range: In compliance with Colorados Equal Pay for Equal Work Act the salary range for this role is $70000 - $80000. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidates relevant work experience skills certifications and geographic location.

Additional Compensation: This position is eligible for an end-of-year bonus.

Are you ready to be the front line of support for a fast-paced mission-driven technology company We are seeking a Tier One Help Desk Technician to join our Corporate IT team and ensure the seamless functioning of Bluestaqs internal systems and infrastructure. In this role youll support the people who power our innovation-providing essential technical assistance maintaining hardware readiness and enabling new team members to hit the ground running. Whether onboarding new hires or solving tech hiccups your work directly impacts the employee experience and operational success. Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the initial point of contact for all IT-related issues and service requests via phone email or ticketing system.
  • Provide Tier 1 technical support including troubleshooting basic hardware software and network issues.
  • Assist in the setup and configuration of new user workstations including desktops laptops monitors and peripherals.
  • Onboard new users by creating accounts assigning hardware and guiding them through initial system access.
  • Support desk and workstation setup including cable management and hardware installation.
  • Manage the lifecycle of leased devices including tracking returns and renewals.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of all IT hardware and peripheral inventory.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to higher-level support staff as necessary.
  • Stay informed of IT best practices and emerging hardware trends relevant to Tier 1 support.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Information Technology Computer Science or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 2 years of experience in a help desk or technical support role preferred.
  • Basic understanding of computer systems mobile devices and other tech products.
  • Familiarity with network fundamentals (e.g. IP addressing DNS DHCP).
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using Atlassian Jira and Confluence
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 user administration.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems and asset tracking tools.

Required Education: 2 years of help desk experience with an Associate degree with 2 additional years beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree OR a High School Diploma with 4 additional years beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree.

Clearance Requirement: This position requires the ability to obtain a TS/SCI Clearance. To be eligible for a security clearance US Citizenship is required and an employee must agree to participate in a background screen and credit check. Eligibility for a TS/SCI Clearance will be assessed as part of the onboarding process or based on programmatic needs.

Relocation: This position does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
