This position is primarily for educational or religious purposes and should be used for providing valuable educational experiences for the Intern. It is to give the Intern an opportunity to see how principles and practices learned in their educational institutions are applied in actual work setting. Under general supervision the Intern performs work as assigned by the department.
Meet with project leadership regularly at the Lehi FamilySearch Building to support and learn how to analyze OGEN data and collections.
Implement quantitative and qualitative research studies and manage quality assurance processes to ensure the accuracy and usability of collected Oral Genealogies.
Analyze OGEN names and relationships between OGEN interviews and data sets.
Lead documentation of survey instruments research insights and recommendations.
Conduct market research for new markets on wage and salary rates by position type transportation and accommodations rates family size averages other economic factors that would affect OGEN collection costs and laws working with local contractors and/or the government approval process.
Support Budget analysis budget development for new projects and projections for OGEN priority countries.
Support management of any Correlation Research Division quantitative surveys on where users are from and search feature needs. This will help us know if we are gathering OGEN in all the places we need to or we need to go back to some countries.
Analyze the saturation of OGEN collected in certain villages or tribes which impacts how many more interviews we conduct per country or tribe.
Help shape how we share our analysis across the org and with homeland teams.
Help to make dashboards for the analysis conducted.
Clearly understand and communicate assignment objectives and goals.
Use standard processes to ensure:
3-5 years related work experience or education
Paid Interns are qualified while enrolled in an educational institution and for one year after graduation
Quantitative qualitative statically analysis and/or mixed-methods research experience
Experience or education in budgeting project management and data analysis for research or to determine KPI projections
Experience investigating the feasibility of applying scientific principles and concepts to business problems and products.
Demonstrated application of leadership skills interpersonal skills a focus on teamwork and collaboration decisiveness problem-solving skills the ability to delegate effectively and time management skills.
Familiarity in using Microsoft Office Suite smartphone data-entry apps and other SaaS platforms.
Strong Excel and PowerPoint Skills
Preferred Qualifications
Completed bachelors degree.
Second language fluency.
Graduate of (or currently enrolled in) a research-related degree is preferred (e.g. statistics business economics data analytics health sciences etc.).
