Job Description
CNC Programmer / Machinist Job
Tempe AZ
Full time - $52000-$61000/yr.
Job Summary:
- Performs machine setup operation and first article inspections
- On DMG Mori NLX2500 CNC Lathes (preferred but not needed)
- CNC Programming is a plus
- MasterCam is a plus
- Able to troubleshoot maintenance and quality issues on the machine
- Assists in meeting production schedules
- Assists in meeting quality requirements
- Communicates problems and procedural issues
- Suggests improvements for production and quality
- Works effectively in a team environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
Main Job Responsibilities:
- Performs machine setup and first article inspection
- Performs required machine maintenance
- Assists in training other machinists
- Ensures production priorities are followed
- Makes management aware of any quality/production problems
- Uses microscopes calipers micrometers weights optical comparators and other inspection devices
- Verifies accuracy and completeness of all paperwork
EDUCATIONAL & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum HS diploma GED or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years in a CNC machining environment
- Ability to read write and communicate effectively with all other personnel
- Ability to follow directions and perform complex duties
- Good hand and eye coordination
- Good manual dexterity
- Good interpersonal skills
