OVERVIEW:
This position leads the day-to-day accounting and financial operations of the company. In addition to the primary responsibilities noted below this role will be relied upon to help design improve and implement best practices as the business continues to grow and becomes increasingly more complex. The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit and enjoy a fast-paced environment that is always fun and evolving.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Plans organizes and manages all activities of the general accounting function that includes accounts payable billing credit/collection and purchasing.
Communicateswith appropriate department managers to complete daily weekly monthly and year-end reports for operations and corporate management.
Ensurestimely preparation and distribution of all actual to budget cost center reports divisional operating statements and other miscellaneous month-end management reports including any necessary analysis and explanation of results.
Overseestimely month-end closing of the general ledger and the preparation of all necessary month-end general ledger reports reconciliation and analysis.
Improves and automate efforts to refine accounting operations related to revenue accounting and improve the quality of monthly quarterly and annual closes.
Assistsin the preparation of timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with US GAAP for both internal and external purposes.
Ensures compliance or implementation of corporate accounting principles policies and procedures in full compliance with US GAAP.
Ensures proper cash planning and assists with the execution of all customary/standard bank wire transfers for operating and payroll purposes.
Assistsin the year-end audit including interfacing with outside auditors preparation of various analyses of the year-end account balances and explanation of the change from prior years.
Assistswith preparation of price model and special projects as assigned.
Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures.
Drives career development and is an inspirational leader for the finance team. Identify roles that need support and provide it to manage the team in a positive direction as the company grows.
Develops a strong culture of collaboration and high-level execution to create the foundation to support future growth.
Works in partnership with other operational departments.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
This position supervises staff and is responsible for the hiring and performance management of the employees on their team.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting.
CPA/MBA highly desirable.
Experience managing an accounting team.
Five (5) years of work experience required; ten (10) years of work preferred.
Experience in a growth/scaling environment.
Ability to meet assigned deadlines.
Well-organized with process improvement skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of employees management and external parties to maximize performance be creative problem solve and obtain results.
Strong job costing/cost accounting experience.
Ability to think outside of the box.
Net Suite experience desirable.
Strong Microsoft Office skills including advanced MS Excel.

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Communicating with others to exchange information.
