What youll do

Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:

  • Planning steering and monitoring of Body system (Metal Exterior Interior) team-related technical (component & function) requirements cost budget deadline quality and styling goals
  • Ensuring the integration of all results into the overall concept (vehicle and platform development)
  • Achieving a balance of goals in terms of technology weight costs deadlines quality and styling including decision-makingin the event of a conflict at the cross functional level
  • Managing conflict of interestregarding technical issues other series co-users cooperation partners and development service providers as well as suppliers
  • Initiation and continued pursuit of measures to achieve targets and reporting to Director of Products Body
  • Assist with the product timeline quality goals requirements engineering development and financial targets across vehicle platforms
  • Coordination of cross-team departmental and cross-brand interface topics (e.g. BOM Change Management)
  • Consolidate and identify all trade-offs and negotiate measures to resolve target conflicts across all departments
  • Drive decisions in project-specific committees by managing cross-functional proposals and presenting to executive management

Location & Travel Expectations:

  • This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Novi Michigan
  • The responsibilities of this role requiresattendance in office and at in-person meetings and eventsregularly.
  • Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

What youll bring

  • 10 years of professional experience in the automotive industry
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and best practices.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Experience in working with agile or scrum methodologies.
  • Proficient in project management tools and software (e.g. Microsoft Project JIRA)
  • Excellent knowledge and proventrack record of optimizing the target setting between product content timing quality and costs using criteria-based decision-making skills
  • Prior leadership experience with proventrack record of leading cross-functional teams to success and performance and proven (technical) problem solving skills
  • Advanced (technical) experience andknow-how in body-in-white closures exterior trim and interiors.
  • Proventrack record of bringing automotive projects from concept phase to mass production
  • Solid technical background and understanding of automotive industry manufacturing processes current trends and developments and new energy technologies
  • Excellent communication skills - interpersonal presentation and written
  • Proven success in managing product budgets & multi-million dollar business cases
  • Operate with the mindset of fast paced and detail-oriented while delivering high quality results with the ability tooperate with limited oversight
  • Excellent understanding of managing multiple projects at various phases with the proven ability to work with limited oversight and achieve required milestones

Pay Transparency

This is a full-time exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidates skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.

Initial base salary range $150000.00 - $165000.00
