WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE JOB:
We are currently seeking a professional innovative and enthusiastic Executive Director for our South Puget Sound and Olympics Chapter (SPSO). Our office is in University Place but this position deeply supports the communities of Clallam Grays Harbor Jefferson Kitsap Lewis Mason Pierce and Thurston. This position is an external-facing role focusing on community relations/capacity building (focused on areas requiring more resiliency) fundraising and board leadership.This candidate must be comfortable being the face of the Red Cross in the SPSO geography. This position supports region-partnered mission initiatives by providing facilitative leadership to local teams and updating regional leadership on the communitys needs assets and perceptions. The Executive Director will also be responsible for strengthening relationships with our community partners by educating them on the programs and opportunities the American Red Cross offers and finding opportunities to partner more position reports to the Regional Executive serves as the primary liaison to the community and is supported by Community Volunteer Leaders and the Chapter Board.
Perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with standard operating procedures and other applicable Federal State and local regulations.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (required/minimum qualifications):
Education: Bachelors degree required.
Experience: Minimum 7 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
Management Experience: NA
Skills & Abilities: Ability to work on a team.
Travel: May travel and participate in meetings and conferences throughout chapter jurisdiction state and Red Cross system.
*Combination of candidates education and general experience satisfies requirements so long as the total years equate to descriptions minimum education and general experience years combined (Management experience cannot be substituted).
Physical Requirements
Physical requirements are those present in normal office environment conditions. Operational flexibility is required to meet sudden and unpredictable needs. Ability to use a personal computer applicable software and office equipment for sustained periods of time. May include sitting for long periods driving a vehicle and working under challenging conditions.
