Job Title: Senior Software Test Engineer I
General Summary:
The Senior Software Test Engineer I is responsible for creating and maintaining automated tests from manual test scripts and test cases. This role works in partnership with the Engineering teams to provide input on functional requirements product designs schedules and potential problems.
Mandatory Experience: 5 Years to 9 Years.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Analyze test requirements/designs and produce re-usable test scripts and procedures to test new and amended software.
Verify test script against business requirements using the functional specification and technical documents provided by the design team.
Actively work to identify communicate mitigate and resolve testing issues and risks.
Participate in test plan test case and test results review sessions and make modifications if necessary.
Analyze test results to ensure existing functionality is not broken and recommends corrective action.
Knowledge Skills and/or Abilities Required:
To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Strong in Java / JavaScript (Java script is expecting if candidate >5 years of experience)
Karate (if candidate has > 5 years of experience then JMeter knowledge is mediatory)
Cypress (Good if candidate has knowledge)
CI/CD (Good if candidate has knowledge)
JMeter (if candidate has > 5 years of experience then JMeter knowledge is mandatory)
Non -Functional testing knowledge such as chaos testing security testing etc. (Good if candidate has knowledge)
Strong knowledge of software testing and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies.
Assist in the planning and facilitation of User Acceptance Testing as needed.
Ability to work well both independently and as a member of a team.
Educational/Vocational/Previous Experience Recommendations:
- BE/Btech/MCA
