A respected and growing accountancy firm based in Driffield is currently recruiting for a Senior Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis. As a Senior Accountant you will be:
Preparing and reviewing year-end accounts management accounts and VAT returns for a varied portfolio of clients
Supporting clients with day-to-day queries offering sound financial advice and guidance
Assisting with tax compliance and planning including personal and corporate tax returns
Supervising and mentoring junior team members offering technical support and training
Playing a key role in client meetings maintaining strong relationships and understanding their business needs
Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and staying up to date with accounting standards
To be successful in this Senior Accountant role you will ideally have/be:
ACA/ACCA qualified or qualified by experience in a practice environment
Strong experience preparing accounts for a wide range of clients including SMEs and sole traders
Confident in managing client relationships and explaining complex financial matters clearly
A team player with leadership potential able to support and develop junior staff
Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines
