Overview
My client are seeking an experienced and dedicated Site Manager to oversee a large industrial unit refurbishment in the Scarborough area on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management and be adept at coordinating multiple stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Day-to-day
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards
- Communicate with project stakeholders to provide updates on project progress and address any concerns
- Monitor and track project budgets expenses and resource allocation
- Coordinate and lead regular meetings with subcontractors and project teams to review progress and identify any potential issues
- Keep detailed project documentation and records up to date
- Drive site progress
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee day-to-day project activities on construction sites
- Collaborate with subcontractors engineers architects and other stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met
- Manage and monitor construction schedules budgets and resources to ensure optimal project efficiency
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe work environment for all personnel on site
- Communicate and problem-solve effectively with all project stakeholders to address any issues or concerns
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Site Manager in industrial or refurbishment construction projects
- Proven ability to manage construction roles and lead a diverse team of subcontractors and workers
- Strong understanding of construction site safety regulations and best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders
- Proficient in project management software and tools for scheduling budgeting and reporting
- SMSTS CSCS and Firs Aid
