GENERAL ASSISTANT - GROUNDS MAINTENANCE
30 hours per week - 12 months (Temporary) appointment
Responsibilities include:
- Maintain cleanliness of college grounds and outdoor facilities - picking up rubbish sweeping raking blowing leaves
- Meet deliveries and distribute parcels boxes and incoming supplies to the relevant locations
- Set up for college assemblies functions and other activities
- General cleaning and washing down of facilities
- Collect empty and clean bins
- General gardening & weeding
- Minor repairs and maintenance
- Liaise with contractors and ensure safe work practices
- Participate in team and staff meetings and College events when requested
- Any other duties as determined by the Business Manager or Principal.
Essential Criteria
Successful applicants for the position will:
- maintain a current Working with Children Check.
- hold a current drivers licence.
- demonstrate initiative and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- have demonstrated ability to follow directions prioritise and meet set deadlines.
- have basic computer skills including internet email & smartphone.
Desirable:
- relevant certificate or trade qualifications.
- appropriate demonstrated experience in school operations.
