Job Description

  • Skilled in qualitative methods such as interviews focus groups thematic analysis and ethnography
  • Experienced administrator with a strong background in project management
  • Fixed -Term (December 2026) Part- Time (0.8FTE) Based in Hobart

About the Opportunity

This Research Associate role offers the opportunity to help lead the Nature Connection Storytelling Projecta groundbreaking initiative exploring how Australians experience and connect with nature in everyday life. As part of the National Environmental Science Program (NESP) the project blends social research creative practice and community engagement to inform policy across environmental health and social domains.

In this pivotal position youll guide the project through a dynamic phase of growth applying your expertise in qualitative research project coordination and community collaboration to deliver meaningful outcomes and shape the future of nature-connected research.

Whats Required

  • A demonstrated ability and understanding of research in the fields of social enquiry nature connection story telling
  • Demonstrated experience in grant writing and managing funded projects (including report writing and funding acquittals)
  • A record of contributing to building and maintaining effective and productive networks with the discipline profession and wider community.
  • A PhD qualification in a relevant field.
