Hospice Aide
We are seeking for a compassionate Hospice Aide to provide care and support to terminally ill patients. Your calm and attentive presence expert administration of care and unwavering spirit of compassion creates a bond to the patient and that invites comfort and peace throughout the end-of-life journey.
Hospice Aide Responsibilities:
Attending to the patients personal hygiene
Feeding the patient if necessary and ensuring that they drink enough to prevent dehydration.
Spending time talking to or reading to the patient during bedside visits.
Assisting with the patients administrative tasks such as bills and legal documentation such as finalizing a will.
Communicating with the patients partner family and friends in a compassionate and considerate manner about issues pertaining to death.
Advising grieving family members on coping techniques counseling services and available community resources.

Qualifications:
Associates degree preferred
CNA (certified nurse assistant) and GNA (geriatric nurse assistant) certificate required
Minimum one year of experience
Excellent interpersonal skills
Previous experience in hospice home health general medical surgical or patient population specific (i.e.: geriatrics pediatric etc.) nursing.
Willingness to serve on-call
Must have reliable transportation & valid drivers license
