Plant Manager
Fort Stockton TX

About :

Reporting to the Regional Manager the Plant Manager oversees daily operations and staff at a large-scale solar farm. The role is accountable for ensuring safe compliant and efficient plant operations.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage maintenance programs with focus on safety scheduling and preventive care
  • Ensure plant availability budget adherence and contract compliance
  • Supervise technicians; handle hiring and performance reviews
  • Oversee repairs troubleshooting and vendor maintenance activities
  • Manage inventory and quality control of repairs
  • Maintain clear communication with management and staff
  • Support contract negotiations and update operational documentation
  • Develop procedures and uphold DEI principles

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 5 years experience operating solar plants OR 7 years in instrumentation & controls MV/HV electrical work
  • Qualified to perform routine and emergency operations at electric generation facilities and HV switchyards
  • Experience with financial operations forecasting and cost controls preferred
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel Word) and computerized maintenance management systems (e.g. SAP)
  • Technical school diploma or journeyman electrician certification preferred but not required
