Job Description

The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Capital Markets Associate to join our dynamic team in Singapore. The successful candidate will be involved in a wide range of DCM ECM transactions including but not limited to initial public offerings equity placements bond issuances and debt restructuring. This role requires a good understanding of financial markets as well as the ability to navigate complex legal and regulatory frameworks across multiple jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft and review legal documentation for capital markets transactions including prospectuses offering circulars subscription agreements and trust deeds.
  • Advise clients on the structuring establishment and operation of debt issuance programmes and equity offerings.
  • Conduct legal research and provide guidance on regulatory compliance corporate governance and market practices.
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities stock exchanges trustees and other stakeholders throughout the transaction lifecycle.
  • Participate in client meetings and calls to discuss transaction structures and legal issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-border teams to ensure seamless execution of multi-jurisdictional deals.
  • Monitor market developments and contribute to thought leadership and client updates.
  • Engage in internal knowledge-sharing initiatives and contribute to practice development.

Qualifications :

Your experience

  • Qualified lawyer with a minimum of 1 - 3 years PQE in capital markets within a reputable law firm
  • Fluent in Mandarin can read and write Chinese 
  • Strong academic credentials in law.
  • Excellent legal drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A team player with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
