You will make your mark as a global health and safety manager by being responsible for overseeing and constantly reviewing and improving our management systems from a safety perspective execution of our NINA safety program and registration processes across our global operations. You will be responsible to evaluate and adjust all procedures instructions plans routines habits related to managing safety and occupational health.
You will follow up on international safety standards and regulations and based on risk analyses ensure alignment with the internal policies rules and guidelines. Next to that you will roll out and support the embedding of Safety and Occupational Health initiatives and will keep the management appraised of the effectiveness. You provide recommendations for improvement where appropriate. You take initiatives to develop the collaboration from a risk and SHE-Q perspective between project teams and vessel crew. Monitoring the quality of Incident reporting is also one of your focus areas. You ensure that corrective / preventative actions are correct relevant and implemented.
Your responsibilities global health and safety manager
- Provide support assistance and advice to the Division SHEQ teams whilst maintaining independence from the teams.
- Provide guidance on specific high-risk activities (routine end non-routine H2S Working at Height Confined Space Entry) identify and support the implementation of suitable controls.
- Evaluate facilitate and/or chair risk assessment activities by reviewing RA methods executing spot audits and carrying out project/vessel risk assessments.
- Act as point of contact for all assigned incident investigations and ensure information is shared with stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Carry out SHEQ inspections verifications and audits as assigned.
- Support division SHE-Q and line management in the way safety management systems workboxes and other management tools are used on projects and vessels.
- Ensure up to date knowledge and understanding of the requirements of applicable legislation standards and industry guidance and provide training and familiarization for the SHE-Q Community.
Your qualities and experience
You can move ahead as a global health and safety manager if you have:
- Bachelors or Master degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field or equal knowledge based on experience.
- Proven experience in a similar role preferably in a global project organization.
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards including OSHA ISO and other relevant guidelines.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences.
- Experience in developing and implementing safety management systems and programs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and address safety risks.
- Willingness to travel internationally as required.

- Your team: You will be part of the corporate SHEQ team consisting of 14 colleagues. You will report to the director corporate SHEQ.
- Where you will work: For office-based roles in consultation with your manager and your team you work partly at home and partly in the office. Part of the role requires frequent visit of vessels and projects worldwide. (50% of time travel abroad)
- Full/part-time job: The position of global health and safety manager is a full-time job (40 hours a week).
