Everest Reinsurance Company is seeking a Reinsurance Claim Director for its headquarters in Warren New Jersey. The ideal candidate will have 7 years of commercial claim handling experience. The candidate should possess solid coverage damage evaluation claim resolution and customer service skills.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Maintain strong client focus by aggressively and proactively researching issues providing support and assuring client satisfaction in a timely fashion.
- Support underwriting team needs for claim information and consultation on coverage.
- Evaluate and settle claims applying technical knowledge and people skills to effect fair and prompt claim resolution.
- Complete detailed reviews of claim related issues including coverage liability and damage and document the claim file appropriately.
- Set and maintain appropriate and timely indemnity and expense reserves.
- Evaluate client claim organizations by completing claim reviews for underwriting. Some travel required.
- Interact with internal and external clients related to claim matters associated with assigned accounts.
Work Experience and Qualifications:
- 7 years of commercial claims handling experience or equivalent legal practice.
- Bachelors degree required and advanced degree/industry designations preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills building and maintaining relationships with underwriters brokers and internal and external clients.
- Experience with handling claims in a paperless environment.
- Strong insurance background with an understanding of insurance business concepts.
- Reinsurance claims experience a plus onsite training provided.
- Excellent organization and analytical skills are essential.
- Strong written verbal and interpersonal skills are required.
- Must be self-motivated and can work in a collaborative team environment.
- Interest in developing leadership and management skills.
- Interest in data analytics a plus.
For NJ Only:The base salary range for this position is $134000 - $167000 annually. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education experience qualifications and work location.
