A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ELECTRICIAN
As an Electrician you play a key role in helping us transform raw materials into finished products. As assigned you independently complete a preventative maintenance program. You also perform corrective maintenance when needed. With little or no direction you repair or replace electrical hardware/software or the electrical wiring of selected devices in accordance with state and local codes. You are also responsible for the electrical start-ups of new used or modified equipment and generate new or modify existing operating instructions as it pertains to electrical items. You do the programming and installation of PLCs including the drawing of ladder logic diagrams to match. You maintain a clean neat and orderly work area at all times. Attentive to safety you attend safety meetings and follow all safety rules and regulations. You take pride in keeping our complex production machinery running efficiently!
Shift: Night shift
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN ELECTRICAN
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Authorized to work in the US.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Demonstrated work experience as an Electrician.
In addition you will need the following:
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
- Ability to work safely on wet and slippery floors and in variable temperatures.
- Mechanical aptitude.
Vocational school training Journeymans license good working knowledge of PLCs and programming good math skills and basic knowledge of general maintenance and manufacturing equipment operations are preferred but multiple factors will be taken into consideration.
