Job Description
Berwick Academy seeks an experienced dance instructor to teach part-time in our auxiliary dance program for the 2025-2026 year. This position includes teaching K-12 modern contemporary and technique classes in the after school program and also some Lower School technique dance classes during the school day.Candidates should have experience with some combination of modern ballet contemporary acro and/or hip-hop. The position requires an organized flexible and creative approach to working with students and parents.
Responsibilities include:
Teaching technique and choreography in specific styles to all levels beginner through advanced.
Mentoring students for auditions choreography projects and spring concert
Choreographing planning and directing the yearly dance concert and other events upon request of Director of Visual and Performing Arts
Building strong relationships with students families and colleagues
This position reports to the Director of Visual and Performing Arts and the Director of Auxiliary Programs.
