Job Description

We are looking for a Head of Technical Accounting and Financial Reporting to be our technical accounting authority and take ownership of all aspects of the companys financial reporting. Reporting to the Controller this role will be a key leadership position within the finance organization The role is expected to be an advisor in the Companys initiatives and transactions to drive optimal accounting treatment and assist in operationalization. Youll work directly with C-suite executives external collaborators and cross-functional teams while building and scaling a world-class technical accounting function
What youll do
- Responsible for maintaining the Companys accounting policies including adoption of new accounting standards.
- Performing technical research to bring about resolution of complex accounting matters and provide guidance to cross functional teams.
- Lead or support cross functional projects and transactions to ensure accounting impacts are fully considered and operationalized.
- Responsible for the Companys recurring and ad hoc reporting requirements.
- Serve as the main point of contact with the Companys external auditors and drive timely completion of the annual audit.
- Responsible for the Companys equity accounting and administration in partnership with cross functional teams.
Who you are
- 10 years of total experience with a mix of public accounting and industry experience
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or FInance CPA or equivalent encouraged CPA required
- Extensive knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
- Expert in common areas for technology companies
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills especially in the form of verbal and written communications
- Reasonable practical and flexible in approach

Compensation awarded to successful candidates will vary based on their work location relevant skills and experience.

For work locations in the San Francisco Bay Area Seattle New York City and Los Angeles the base salary range for this role is:
$218000 - $308000 USD
