Role description:

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Traffic Engineer to join the team in Baton Rouge LA. As a Senior Traffic Engineer you will work on diverse traffic engineering projects including alternative delivery projects in Louisiana and throughout the US and lead local transportation initiatives in Louisiana and the Southeast region. Day-to-day you will engage with clients ensuring effective communication and collaboration while managing project scope schedule and budget. You will collaborate with senior program managers project managers and engineers to deliver projects that enhance transportation operations and safety.

This role will sit within the larger Global Mobility Business Area. We partner with our clients across the globe to design thriving and connected cities and communities that enable opportunity for all and keep the world moving. Climate change urbanization and digitization trends are requiring todays mobility projects and systems to address an evolving set of demands from the worlds growing population. We design connected sustainable solutions that integrate existing infrastructure with new technologies and optimize the mobility of people and goods.

Role accountabilities:

As a Senior Traffic Engineer your role accountabilities will include managing the delivery of traffic engineering projects and tasks. You will be accountable for serving as a primary client contact presenting technical results and recommendations and coordinating with subject matter experts to integrate insights into project plans. Developing strategies for pursuing new projects conducting traffic studies and leading the preparation of traffic engineering plans such as signal designs and signing and marking designs will also be key aspects of your role. Additionally you will mentor junior engineers and interns fostering their professional growth.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering.
• 10 years of relevant work experience.
• Must possess Louisiana PE License.
• Valid U.S. Drivers License.

Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors such as experience education budget internal equity project and location.
