About the Role

Six Physio acquired BWT Physio in Summer 2024. Womens Health was part of BWTs offering and has been long-associated with Six Physio. We are now seeking the right person to turbocharge this service in Dorset supported by the team in London and grow patient numbers and excellent Womens Health care from our Ashley Cross location.

Roles and Responsibilities:


1. Clinical Practice and Patient Care:

The bread and butter of the role -- providing gold standard Womens Health Physio care you will conduct comprehensive assessments for conditions including pelvic floor dysfunction pre/postnatal care continence issues pelvic pain and other womens health concerns. Develop tailored treatment plans addressing all potential concerns utilising our Dont treat Cure mantra through appropriate manual therapy exercise prescription and specialised therapeutic techniques to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Maintain accurate patient records including patient outcome measures and treatment plans adhering to legal and ethical guidelines specific to womens health practice.


2. Service Growth:

Lead the development and expansion of our Womens Health Physiotherapy service from Ashley Cross. Identify opportunities to enhance service offerings develop new programmes (such as pre/postnatal classes pelvic health workshops) and implement strategies to increase patient numbers. Establish the service as a centre of excellence for womens health in the local area.


3. Teamwork and Collaboration:

Work collaboratively within the team at Six and build relationships with external networks including GPs obstetricians gynaecologists midwives and other allied health professionals specialising in womens health. Facilitate seamless referrals and ensure integrated patient-centred care. Participate in team meetings continued professional development sessions and in-service training to contribute to comprehensive womens health care.


4. Values and Behaviours:

5. Business Development and Marketing:

Be a champion for Sixs Womens Health services; engage in targeted marketing activities including social media presence contribution to blogs educational workshops and community outreach specifically focused on womens health topics. Proactively develop and implement strategies to build and expand your referral network establishing partnerships with maternity units GP practices womens groups and relevant organisations to drive service growth and awareness.


6. Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and Professional Standards:

Stay informed of the latest advancements in womens health physiotherapy by engaging in ongoing CPD activities courses and conferences specific to the field. Ensure compliance with HCPC standards and maintain relevant certifications and accreditations in womens health physiotherapy. Pursue additional qualifications as appropriate to enhance service offerings.
