Overview:
Terra San Francisco School (TSFS) is a progressive Preschool-8th grade school that seeks to constructively and positively contribute to the personal and intellectual growth of our students. We are committed to exposing our students to a challenging innovative curriculum in a collaborative supportive community.

Bay Area News Interview: Duties and Responsibilities of 4th grade Teacher:
Overtly support and act in accordance with the schools mission and values
Demonstrate appropriate planning and preparation for instruction
Develop and maintain a classroom atmosphere centered on intellectual inquiry and student engagement
Foster classroom community through inclusionary compassionate and supportive practices
Uphold professional standards of personal presentation punctuality professional courtesy and discretion
Appropriately carry out specific responsibilities as designated by the division (eg. duties)
Honor the confidentiality of school and student information
Communicate effectively with co-lead students families and colleagues
Engage in self-reflection and professional development through goal setting PD opportunities and ongoing dialog with division directors
Qualification Requirements:
A passion for working with young people
A desire to collaborate in a dynamic community of teachers
An openness to professional development and continuous learning
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
A pleasant approach to work and ideally a sense of humor
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors or other Advanced degrees in Education and content area a plus but not required.
Experience in reading and phonics instruction differentiated learning backward planning and creating performance assessments.
Experience using the Project-Based Learning methodology

2-7 years of grade-level experience
