What You Will Achieve

TheLogistics Design and Innovationteam leads the development and execution of packaging and monitoring strategies for Global Transport Solutions within the Global Logistics Network. This group plays a key role in ensuring the reliable and efficient movement of Pfizers temperature-sensitive products.

Sr Manager Transportation Strategy & Implementationoversees program management for logistics strategy planning and execution within Global Transport Solutions (GTS). This role drives the development of logistics plans across Pfizers product portfolio and introduces new processes to enhance product launches temperature monitoring and center of excellence capabilities. This role will have vision to establish new processes and norms aimed at improving and providing necessary packaging and monitoring leadership for new product launches network changes acquisitions/divestitures stability generation regulatory submission preparation execution & readiness; inclusive of Global Logistics & Network Services (GLNS) lanes as well as last mile delivery solutions within markets

This role will serve as the unique and centralized contact for Global Supply Chain Sustainability Team for circularity strategies addressing critical cold chain packaging and circularity distribution strategies expertise will be instrumental in shaping and executing these strategies to enhance the efficiency and sustainability of Pfizers temperature control distribution globally and with markets. Your deep knowledge of industry trends across cold chain industry and ability to provide expert input will be invaluable.

This role will further work towards an integrated Request for Proposal (RFP) for packaging technology within Global Transport Solutions driving total cost of ownership inclusive of freight emissions savings and ensuring the highest standards of cold chain logistics.

Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and implement transport strategies supporting new product launches site changes acquisitions/divestitures and regulatory submissions

  • Lead the development of next-generation packaging technologies and circularity strategies in collaboration with the Global Supply Chain Sustainability Team

  • Drive integrated RFP processes within Global Transportation Team to achieve cost emissions and efficiency goalson temperature-controlled packaging technology

Program and Project Management

  • Oversee logistics-related plans and manage complex projects across Pfizers product portfolio.

  • Lead workstreams for thermal transportation and temperature monitoring solutions.

  • Ensure readiness of shipping and receiving sites for temperature-controlled logistics.

Team Management

  • Select coach and develop a global team of subject matter experts (SMEs) supporting activities linked to transport strategies.

  • Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture aligned with Pfizers values: Courage Excellence Equity and Joy.

Collaboration and Governance

  • Serve as the primary contact for Global Transportation Services on network change new product launches acquisitions/divestiture projects

  • Ensure alignment with GLNS strategies Global Supply Chain objectives and Pfizers Zero-Defect directives.

  • Promote best distribution practices and value delivery for internal and external stakeholders.

Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)

  • Applicant must have a bachelors degree with at least 6 years of experience; OR a masters degree with at least 5 years of experience; OR a PhD with 1 years of experience Strong leadership and influencing capabilities across all organizational levels

  • Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers develop and coach others oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

Bonus Points If You Have (Preferred Requirements)

  • Advanced degree in Logistics Supply Chain Engineering or related discipline preferred.

  • At least 5 years experiences in Pharmaceutical Logistics Transportation or Supply Chain management in an international environment with experiences on temperature controlled/cold chain logistics and Transport Qualification

Physical/Mental Requirements

  • Working knowledge of transportation validation processes and systems/process qualifications
    Experienced in working with supply chain and commercial partners in establishing effective global transportation and distribution strategies
    Must have strong communication skills which include experience communicating strategies with senior leaders and technical writing proficiency

  • Strong working knowledge of import / export procedures health regulatory requirements and other governmental agencies governing inbound and outbound trade international air and ocean freight operations freight rate structure and negotiation and freight forwarders regional/global operations
    Experience with cold chain and other temperature control shipping systems international freight management systems analytical tools freight payment cost management and freight claims management
    Experience influencing without direct process accountability

Non-Standard Work Schedule Travel or Environment Requirements

  • Up to 30% travel

Work Location Assignment:Hybrid

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $135100.00 to $225100.00. In addition this position is eligible for participation in Pfizers Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 17.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
