The basics of this position:

The IT student worker will provide technical and network problem resolution to end-users (customers) by performing a question diagnosis while guiding users through step-by-step solutions. The position requires providing direct technical customer support via telephone chat email remote tools or in person. Including but are not limited to resolving authentication problems basic software support verifying proper hardware and software set-up power cycling navigating college applications print related issues and troubleshooting email issues. Support will be provided in a user-friendly professional manner.

What youll do:

  • Assist end users with their questions and requests documenting interactions within the ticketing system.
    Assist with Media Support and Classroom Emergencies
    Assist with Asset management and equipment maintenance.
    Actively participate with ongoing development and maintenance of documents and processes.
    Assist with new technology testing and other duties as assigned.

Education experience and other requirements:

Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing; ability to communicate effectively in a tactful and courteous manner with a variety of people including students employees faculty and the general public; ability to manage interpersonal conflict situations requiring tact diplomacy and discretion.

Preferred Qualifications:

Must be a student enrolled in at least 6 for-credit hours per semester with a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0 is preferred.
Computer experience is preferred.
Proficient spoken and written English is preferred.
Punctual and reliable is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
